On July 18, 2010, members of the Engine 199 Truck Committee traveled to Seagrave Fire Apparatus in Clintonville, WI. We were accompanied by the local Seagrave sales representative Richard Lambiasi of Excelsior Fire Equipment Sales, LLC.
The truck committee conducted pre-construction meetings with the Seagrave staff on July 19th and 20th. The specifications were reviewed and approved with minor additions and deletions. The apparatus has been sent for final engineering and the build process will begin shortly.
The new Engine 199 provides seating for eight (8) fire fighters and will feature a Cummings ISM 500 without DPF or SCR, Waterous 2000 GPM Dual Stage Pump, Harrison 20KW Hydraulic Generator and a 9000 Watt Wilburt Nightscan Light Tower.
Special thanks to the Engine 199 Truck Committee who devoted numerous preparing the specifications as well as the residents of the Bedford Hills Fire District for their continued support.
