On Sunday July 2nd, Tower Ladder 57 and the FAS Team responded to Working Fires in Croton Falls and Yorktown Heights in 95°+ Temperatures/Heat Index.

The first fire came in just before 15:00, to 6 Daniel Road, in the Croton Falls Fire District. Tower Ladder 57 was notified by Command, that they'd be going to work on arrival. 57's Crew, immediately went to the roof to assist the roofman from Engine 148, in completing vertical ventilation. Tower Ladder 57 also assisted in conducting secondary searches of residence, and positive pressure ventilation of the structure once it was determined that all fire was out. Tower Ladder 57 remained on scene until approximately 16:30 hours, until released by Command.

As Tower Ladder 57 was returning to the district, they were dispatched by 60 Control to 1789 Baldwin Road in the Yorktown Heights Fire District for a reported structure fire. While enroute, Engine 273 reported smoke showing from the distance. Within seconds of E273's transmission, Battalion 17 arrived on-scene and confirmed the working fire. Yorktown Heights Volunteers, encountered heavy fire on arrival, and while stretching the initial attack lines, a male occupant was found in the residence. Upon arrival, the crew of Tower Ladder 57 assisted in removing the victim from the residence, while laddering the structure, and preforming a size-up and monitoring fire conditions. BHFD FAS Team, turned over FAS Operations to the Croton on Hudson FAS Team, while the crews from BHFD re-positioned TL-57 for aerial operation.

While the crews from Tower Ladder 57 and Utility 6 handled the Mutual Aid requests, 20+ Bedford Hills members remained in District and on stand by, handling a Residential Alarm on Rock Gate Farm Road.
