It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of 61 Year Life Member and Ex-President David F. Brown.

A member of Bedford Hills Fire Department since March 12, 1963 and assigned badge #415 to the Engine Company. He held the following Department positions

Engineer - 1966
Secretary 1967-1972 & 1980
Vice President 1981-1993
President 1993-1997
Board of Director 1998

David also served on Department committees, most notably the Memorial Day and Antique truck committee where he was fundamental in the restoration of Engine 196, a 1928 Dodge Brothers pumper.

In addition to his Department service, David served as a Fire Commissioner for many years, appointed to Vice Chairman in 2009 and Chairman of the Board in 2015.

His passing has left an immense void in our Department, and community.
