It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of 58 Year Life Member and Ex Chief of Department, Clifford Fantel.

A member of Bedford Hills Fire Department since April 1, 1963 and assigned badge #386 to the Engine Company. He held the following positions

Engineer - circa 1965
Lieutenant - 1966 - 1967
Captain - 1973 - 1975
2nd Assistant Chief - 1976
1st Assistant Chief - 1977 - 1978
Chief of Department - 1979 - 1980
Board of Director - 1969 & 1981
Commissioner - 1985 - 1991

As an administrator of our Department for many years, his dedication positively influenced policy and his values set a solid foundation for our Department to thrive for years to come.

Chief Fantel is the father of Kenneth Fantel, an inactive member of the Bedford Hills Fire Department Engine Company since October 8, 1973. Our thoughts are with the entire Fantel family during this difficult time.
