November of 2024 proved to be an extremely busy month for our volunteers. We responded to 60 calls for service, 42 in the Fire District, and 18 requests for mutual aid to surrounding communities.

November 5th: Mutual Aid Brush Fire - Croton Falls (Route 22)
November 8th: Tanker 5 - Relocate - Bedford Village Fire Headquarters
November 9th: Mutual Aid Brush Fire - Katonah (Cantitoe Street) Mutual Aid Brush Fire - Croton Falls (Hardscrabble Road) 2nd Alarm Structure Fire - Croton on Hudson (Giglio Court)
November 11th: Mutual Aid Brush Fire - Greenwood Lake, NY (Orange Count, NY) - Tanker 5
November 12th: Mutual Aid Brush Fire - Greenwood Lake, NY (Orange Count, NY) - Utility 6 Mutual Aid Brush Fire - Somers (Sylvia Way)
November 13th: Stove Fire - 796 Bedford Road Mutual Aid Structure Fire - Yorktown Heights (2821 Crompond Road)
November 18th: Mutual Aid Brush Fire - Somers (Orchard Hill Road) Motor Vehicle Accident - Babbitt Road
November 20th: Mutual Aid Car Fire - Bedford (Harris Road)
November 22nd: Structure Fire - Kasho Complex
November 26th: Mutual Aid Car Fire - Bedford (Interstate 684)
During the month multiple trainings and drills were conducted, 30 Interior Firefighters completed their annual Bailout Recertification and members of the 16th Battalion attended a seminar presented by Ex-Chief Paul Jockimo of the Somers (NY), Fire Department on Mental Health Awareness in Emergency Services titled "Taking Care of Our Own".
