Bedford Hills Fire Department's 46th Chief of Department Takes Office

Earlier today at the 2025 Organizational Meeting of the Bedford Hills Fire District, in front of an audience of BHFD members, his family, and friends, Chief Zachary S. Patierno was sworn in as Bedford Hills Fire Department's - 46th Chief of Department. Commissioner Joseph J. Lombardo administered the oath of office. Chief Patierno was presented with the Chief of Department Badges by his father, Robert Patierno, Sr. (Past Fire District Commissioner/Life Member of BHFD), and outgoing Chief of Department - Alexander W. Dennett Sr. Also taking office at the meeting was 1st Assistant Chief – Brian S. McGill, 2nd Assistant Chief - Robert W. Bancroft and Deputy Chief – Alexander W. Dennett Sr.
The Board of Commissioners congratulated Chief Patierno on achieving the rank of Chief of Department and acknowledged his accomplishments thus far as a Member, Officer, and Chief Officer.
The Board of Commissioners thanked Chief Dennett for his dedicated service, devotion, and leadership during the last four years as Chief of Department and his 10 years total as a Chief Officer.
